Join SRE and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts (AFA) for a free two‑day event designed to strengthen connections, expand access to provincial arts funding, and support local artists in developing successful grant applications. This special gathering brings together AFA representatives, local arts leaders, and Wood Buffalo artists for networking, learning, and one‑on‑one feedback.
The informal networking session offers a welcoming space to build relationships, ask questions, and learn more about AFA’s role in supporting Alberta’s creative sector. The following panel discussion features AFA representatives, local artists with successful AFA grant applications, and leaders from Wood Buffalo arts organizations. Together, they share insights on navigating AFA programs, strengthening applications, and leveraging funding to advance artistic practice and community impact.

Artists are invited to book a dedicated session with AFA staff to receive personalized, in‑depth feedback on draft grant proposals. These consultations are an invaluable opportunity to refine ideas, strengthen applications, and gain clarity on program requirements.
Participants must submit their draft grant applications before Sunday, January 18 at 6pm to hanna@swampratexperience.com.

By inviting industry professionals to our region, we create opportunities for local artists to develop and add new tools to their theatre toolbox. We host Master Classes and Intensives in a wide range of theatre disciplines, including Acting, Directing, Stage Management, and Design.
